Academy Opening and Closing Times
Site opens to pupils 32.5 hours a week from 8.35 am. Lessons start at 8.45 am and end at 3.15 pm. Non compulsory, extra-curricular activities start at the end of the school day.
The School day:
| 8.45 – 8.55 | Tutor Time – register, collect phones and check uniform & equipment |
| 8.55 – 9.55 | Period One |
| 9.55 – 10.55 | Period Two |
| 10.55 – 11.15 | Break |
| 11.15 – 12.15 | Period Three |
| 12.15 – 1.15 | Period Four |
| 1.15 – 1.50 | Lunchtime |
| 1.50 – 2.50 | Period Five |
| 2.50 – 3.15 | Tutor Time |
| 3.15 – 3.30 | End of day & buses |
Term Time Leave
Parents have a legal duty to ensure their child attends school regularly. In line with government regulations, the school cannot authorise holidays during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Any request for leave must be made in advance to the Principal, who will decide whether the absence can be authorised. Unauthorised leave may result in the absence being recorded as unauthorised and a Penalty Notice being issued by the Local Authority.
