As an academy we feel that the vast majority of year 11 pupils will revise better in school than at home where there may be more distractions. A revision booster timetable is in place and available to download form the school website [Available here (pdf)]. Unfortunately the booster timetable cannot cover the full school day- staffing and exam scheduling would not allow for this.
When not in an exam there may be a booster session to attend. At all other times there will be a revision room available for group revision and a quiet room for silent revision. When not arriving for a morning exam pupils are asked to register as normal in their Learning Mentor Groups.
There are some pupils who will not benefit from revising in school and individual conversations have already taken place.
There are also other pupils who parents may feel would benefit more from revising at home. This will be a minority and should be arranged with the school directly.
All pupils are obviously expected to attend all exams.
After their final exam pupils are no longer required to come to school but we very much look forward to seeing them on the 22nd for the trip to Alton Towers and on the morning of the 23rd for the Year 11 Leavers’ Assembly.
